Kiddie Capers HASSOCKS

Kiddie Capers Hassocks is a 32-place setting that provides stimulating and enabling environments for children aged 0-5 years old. We are based in the heart of Hassocks and our outdoor environment is surrounded by beautiful woods. We opened our doors in March and have already formed strong links to the village and local school. All children participate in outings throughout the week, enjoying trips to the garden centre, allotments, woods, parks and local high street shops.

We have a large outdoor learning environment and dedicated forest school area for the children to access and explore. Our outdoor learning environment has three areas, there are dedicated spaces for bikes, water play, cosy areas, planting and construction. The younger children also have their own separate shaded garden, where they enjoy water play, bubbles and physical activities.

We are based in a large room which is partitioned for two age groups of children, the younger children have a beautiful climbing frame in their area, encouraging physical development, they also have different sensory equipment, puzzles and a cosy area. Our older children are encouraged to free flow from the indoor to the outdoor learning environment, encouraging independence. The older children have a large home corner, cosy reading area and a family tree with all their family photos on, this enables links to children’s family life. Parents are encouraged to share their children’s weekend activities with us, this allows children to share news and have confidence in group activities.

Aligned with our dedication to quality education, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Our experienced staff members create stimulating activities that cater to each child’s unique needs, promoting their holistic growth across various areas of development. By incorporating play-based learning, social interaction, and structured routines, we ensure that children receive a well-rounded educational experience.
