As first time parents, my wife and I were worried about sending our son to nursery. However, the staff are Brilliant and provide regular updates through out the day.

My daughter was in another nursery before I enrolled her here. I made the decision in the hope that she would make some friends who would end up going to the same school as her as it was in our home town. I was so nervous as she was settled in her old nursery. However I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made for her. She settled in instantly and is so happy going into nursery doesn't cry or cling to me at all. They do so much with her and shes always coming out with stories of her day. The information I get throughout the day is brilliant. The staff are all so friendly and kind especially Sarah who my daughter says is her favourite and im so happy seeing her thrive in such an amazing environment. Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere for their children. I made a gamble removing her from her last nursery and it definitely paid off. Our son has been attending Merlin House since turning 1 year old. The staff are so lovely and provides informative feedback of his day. The setting have great facilities with soft play room, sensory play, big outdoor space and they incorporate different kinds of activities too. Highly recommend Kiddie Capers in Hassocks. Both my children attended here one of them since they opened. They both grey massively in confidence from attending this nursery and the staff are all amazing, friendly and supportive. My almost 2 yr old has joined Kiddie Capers after his other setting closed earlier in the year. As you can imagine that was quite stressful but KC were amazing and responsive - arranging a visit as soon as possible. Honestly when I looked around I was blown away: they have so much space to play indoors and outdoors and loads of fun resources designed to be led by play first learning second. Since joining at Easter, my little boy has thrived in the setting and it's in no small part due to the brilliant nursery and amazing staff they have. It's such a rarity these days to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes - setting, staff, flexibility, resources, affordable and without hefty "optional" charges that many other nurseries have to apply to balance out government funding. A hidden gem in fishersgate! Thank you to all the team for looking after "JS" so well! He absolutely loves it there and has settled in remarkably well in the short time he's been attending. My partner and I are incredibly happy with this nursery. Our daughter has learnt and grown so much in confidence since attending and we couldn’t be anymore comfortable with our daughter here. The teachers are so nice and communicate very well. Our daughter has attended for over a year now, she took some time to settle in as she was quite anxious but all the staff were so good with her and helped ease her in each morning. We moved to the area in January and we were really nervous about finding a new nursery for my daughter in a new area. This nursery hands down is the best nursery my daughter has ever been to! She transitioned really well despite joining the nursery mid term and the staff were to thank for this, communication is always so immaculate! My daughter loves it here so much and we honestly couldn’t feel anymore at ease during her time here. A team full of staff who clearly have a passion for what they do! I was nervous about my son starting nursery but instantly loved this one, lovely staff, a beautiful new space and garden to play in. He is in the paddlers class and is always so excited to go in and still happy when I pick him up, I receive pictures of him and love seeing what he got up to, he loves seeing the pictures too. His speech is better since attending and he has started singing new songs every week. The flexible hours are also so helpful, most nurseries only provide a full day or a half day which both are too long for him at this age so paying hourly works for us and is cheaper.

My son has been attending Kiddie Capers Cuckfield for 3 years and he loves going and asks when his next nursery day is. He graduates this July and he will truly miss it . Kiddie Capers have done an outstanding job with his development over the years and getting him ready for school. The outside space and forest school have been a big hit for my son. The hot meals have been great for him to try new foods . The communication through the app has been amazing to know exactly what he has been up to , eaten etc .. What an amazing setting this has been for our son. He has developed such a strong and caring bond with his Keyworker and we’ve seen him grow in confidence, speech and play with other children. It’s such a joy and delight to see how much he loves going to nursery and all the staff are wonderful with the children. I cannot recommend Merlin House enough. My daughter has been going to this nursery since May 2025. She absolutely loves going in, saying hello to her nursery teachers and seeing  her friends.

I have been very happy with the communication on the famly app as it keeps us updated with what food she has eaten, how long she has slept for and what activities she has taken part in.

I particularly liked the opportunity to go into her room for a stay and play. It was really lovely to see her with her friends, meet the staff I may not have met before and to join in with the activities she enjoys the most.

This nursery has allowed my partner and I to go to work each day knowing our daughter is being cared for so well.
