The Hassocks Hub

Kiddie Capers Childcare has multiple settings across Hassocks, catering for children from 0-5. Our three settings, all located centrally within the village, provide dedicated and age specific resources, to allow the children in our care to thrive. Little Hassocks is a dedicated under 2’s unit, with Hassocks and Parklands providing care for our 2–5-year-olds.

Our talented Senior Manager, Emily, oversees the Hassocks Hub to ensure consistency across all settings. Each site also has a Deputy Manager who will be your day-to-day contact, alongside our fantastic team of practitioners.

Little Hassocks

Little Hassocks is a brand-new specialist under 2’s unit on Keymer Road, designed to provide the highest level of care in a purpose-built environment. The Nursery  features age-appropriate equipment, a dedicated sleep room, a dining area, and a spacious open-plan play room catering to all areas of early learning. A specially designed soft play and physical development room supports our youngest children in developing their confidence in balance, walking, running, and climbing in a safe and stimulating setting.

As your child approaches the age of 2, they will move to either our Hassocks or Parklands site, depending on whether they receive care with us all year round or term time only.

Continuity of care is important to us, and our teams work as one. A thorough handover and settling in plan will be developed between practitioners taking into consideration individual needs.

Aligned with our dedication to quality education, we closely follow Birth to 5 Matters guidance. Our experienced staff members create stimulating activities that cater to each child’s unique needs, promoting their holistic growth across various areas of development. By incorporating play-based learning, social interaction, and structured routines, we ensure that children receive a well-rounded educational experience.

Hassocks

Since opening, Hassocks is one of our most popular settings, located in the heart of the village. This setting provides an Early Years education to children aged between 2-5, who are with us all year round.

This site boasts three gardens and an outdoor classroom, perfect for getting outside whatever the weather! We believe in free flow play, particularly for the older children, encouraging their independence right from the start.

Inside the nursery, we have a cosy corner with our family tree where we share photos of our families. We encourage you to share stories and photos of your weekend adventures so we can share these with our friends during circle time.

With our Forest School offering being embedded the curriculum, the dedicated forest school area brings these activities to our doorstep.

Aligned with our dedication to quality education, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Our experienced staff members create stimulating activities that cater to each child’s unique needs, promoting their holistic growth across various areas of development. By incorporating play-based learning, social interaction, and structured routines, we ensure that children receive a well-rounded educational experience.

Parklands

Monday – 8:30AM to 3.00PM

Tuesday – 8:30AM to 5.00PM

Wednesday – 8:30AM to 5.00PM

Thursday – 8:30AM to 5.00PM

Friday – 8:30AM to 3.00PM

Our Parklands setting is located just a stones throw from our main Hassocks site, and a short walk from ‘Little Hassocks’ in the heart of the village.

Located in the Scout Headquarters, it offers a large space for our toddlers and older children to let their creativity shine through and become more independent – our children love our cosy home corner, and arts and crafts station!

Whilst this setting has designated outdoor space for their Forest School activities, it also backs onto our Hassocks site, where the children are able to make use of these facilities on a daily basis.

This provision is term-time only.

My son has been attending Kiddie Capers Cuckfield for 3 years and he loves going and asks when his next nursery day is. He graduates this July and he will truly miss it . Kiddie Capers have done an outstanding job with his development over the years and getting him ready for school. The outside space and forest school have been a big hit for my son. The hot meals have been great for him to try new foods . The communication through the app has been amazing to know exactly what he has been up to , eaten etc .. I have recommended kiddie Capers to a number of people who now attend there. OUTSTANDING childcare !

My child currently attends KCC in Cuckfield and absolutely loves it, my child is thriving in every aspect of preschool learning. The setting is amazing, not overcrowded, it is in the centre of open fields, has great parking for those busy quick morning drop offs, it is close to woodlands for forest school, or bug hunts, which my child has really enjoyed. The nursery practitioners well they are all fantastic, going above and beyond, Gracie my child adores, she is absolutely amazing with all the children. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for the best amazing start to their child’s preschool journey.

We were recommended to Kiddie Capers in Cuckfield and we are so happy with the care our little girl receives. She seems to of bonded so well with the carers and reaches out to them when going in to nursery which really helps with the mum guilt! We would recommend this nursery to anyone❤️
